10 Cool Electric Vehicles Coming in 2023
Are we finally catching up with the science fiction themes offered in 1980s movies? Probably not, but these ten cool electric vehicles bring us closer in 2023.
The electric revolution is in full swing. As we head into the next year in automotive history, we see many brand-new electric vehicles heading to the market. Nearly all automakers offer at least one fully-electric model, and those that don’t will certainly do so very soon. Before the end of the decade, EVs will make up a much larger portion of our automotive world. Let’s look at some of the coolest new models on the way.
Audi A6 E-Tron
The new Audi A6 E-Tron packs a huge punch while delivering an impressively luxurious cabin filled with great features. This Audi delivers 462 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque, giving us an electric sedan that’s quick and powerful. The maximum driving range is 435 miles per charge, giving you a driving range better than most gas-powered cars. It only takes ten minutes to add 186 miles of driving range back to the batteries of this amazing Audi A6 E-Tron.
Faraday Future FF91
The Faraday Future FF91 appears to be a conglomeration of a sedan, minivan, and SUV mashed together. While the exterior style is a bit wonky, the statistics offered give us a reason to think it might be one of the coolest electric vehicles for the 2023 model year. This EV should have a range of 435 miles and hit 60 mph in 2.6 seconds. The top speed is 155 mph, and the electric motors can pump out 1050 horsepower to give this amazing machine more than enough power for some serious fun.
Toyota Prius
The new 2023 Toyota Prius isn’t a fully-electric car, but it would be wrong to keep it off this list. The new Prius is the most stylish and advanced version of this hybrid car that we’ve ever seen. Toyota recently revealed the fifth generation model of this car at the Los Angeles Auto Show to show us the massive transformation of this car. In addition to the impressive style upgrades, the Prius delivers a lot more power, hitting 194 and 220 horsepower depending on the version chosen.
Canoo Pickup Truck
There’s something unique and original that makes the Canoo Pickup Truck one of the cool new electric vehicles coming in 2023. This truck includes a bed that extends from 72 to 102 inches to give you the cargo space desired. There’s a fold-down worktable with electrical outlets to make this truck a mobile office. The electric motors of this pod-like truck produce 600 horsepower and 550 lb-ft of torque while giving you nearly 200 miles of driving range. This is the perfect truck for some off-road adventures on tight trails.
BMW i7
When you want to get away from the rest of the world for a little while, the new BMW i7 can help you with that. Not only is this one of the most luxurious EVs offered in the market, but it also brings a large rear screen where you can watch a movie in comfort when you’ve arrived at your destination. The new i7 also includes a 740-horsepower tri-motor layout with a driving range of nearly 305 miles from a full charge. Expect pure luxury and opulence when you step inside this new electric BMW.
Tesla Cybertruck
Is it finally here? We’ve talked about the new Tesla Cybertruck for a few years, but it feels like we’re finally going to have this truck available to us. This is truly one of the most interesting electric vehicles for 2023. The exterior is made of cold-rolled stainless steel, which gives this truck an impenetrable shell. This Tesla pickup has 500 miles of driving range, a 3,500-pound payload capacity, and 14,000 pounds of towing capacity. This should be an incredible truck, and it could challenge some of the EV pickups already offered.
Aston Martin Lagonda All-Terrain
Aston Martin is getting into the EV world and gives us the new Lagonda All-Terrain, which could easily be an SUV that could show up in the next James Bond movie. The early pictures make this vehicle look like its extremely spacious and comfortable, which room for at least four people. We don’t have any power numbers yet, but you can expect Aston Martin to hit all the right notes for luxury EV consumers.
Kia EV9
The new Kia EV9 is still in its concept phase, but it could be offered soon and be one of the most futuristic and useful EVs offered. This is one of the cool electric vehicles we want to drive in 2023 because of what it brings to the market. The EV9 is a three-row full-size SUV that looks like it’s made to head out for some fun on the trails. The driving range should reach 300 miles of range per charge, and you’ll find 576 horsepower from the two electric motors driving this impressive SUV.
Jeep Wrangler EV (Magneto)
The latest version of the electric Jeep Wrangler showed its dominance during the annual Easter Jeep Safari in Moab, Utah. Since then, we’ve wondered when this electric off-road SUV would hit the market. The Wrangler EV should arrive with a 285-horsepower electric motor, which seems a little underpowered for the segment. We don’t know what the Magneto will ultimately offer, but an electric Wrangler is absolutely one of the most hotly anticipated new EVs heading to the market.
Fisker Ocean
Henry Fisker is one of the names that come to mind when we think of the pioneers of the EV movement. His company is ready to offer a new all-electric model that could be one of the cool new electric vehicles offered for 2023. The Fisker Ocean is a five-seat SUV with several different battery packs to offer various power levels. The driving range could be as much as 350 miles on a single charge, and the power could reach 550 horsepower and push this SUV to 60 mph in only 3.6 seconds.
Will you drive one of these cool new electric vehicles in 2023 or sit back and admire the evolution of EVs as we move away from gas-powered vehicles?
