Offering owners the ability of have the latest in infotainment systems as well as a nice sized SUV, the Sorento is a great choice at a reasonable price. With over eighty percent of the parts either redesigned or brand new, the 2014 offering is a major upgrade over previous model years. The UVO eServices is all new for the Sorento and really adds to the vehicle with great entertainment for all to enjoy.

With a shorter wheelbase the Sorento offers much tighter turning than many of its competition with allows this SUV to be easier to maneuver. Add to this the highly tuned suspension and refined steering and the vehicle easily takes on any road defect without jarring the occupants of the vehicle. The steering is precise and quickly responsive allowing the driver to dart in and out of city traffic or handle the curves of any road out on the highway. The SUV includes a very quiet cabin as well, obtained through the impressive insulation and noise deflecting technologies under the hood, to allow the riders to enjoy their choice of musical selections.

Under the hood the engine offering begin with a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that offers 191 horsepower and 181 lb.-ft. of torque. This engine does not offer much power for heading off road, but does allow for both front-wheel drive (FWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD) capabilities. When matched with the six-speed automatic transmission that offer a manual selection, the fuel mileage comes in at 20 city/26 hwy mpg for the FWD and 19 city/24 hwy mpg for AWD.

The larger of the two engines comes in the form of a 3.3-liter V6 engine that has a respectable amount of power at 290 horsepower and 252 lb.-ft. of torque. Selecting this engine does not increase the price of the vehicle in a prohibitive manner and the fuel mileage is almost identical to the four-cylinder coming in at 18 city/25 hwy mpg for FWD and 18 city/24 hwy mpg for AWD. Because of this, the engine of choice for this SUV would be the V6 that offers much more power and a greater off road capability in rougher terrain.

The cabin is full of great features beginning with soft and easy to enjoy materials throughout the vehicle as well as nicely placed metal accents to give the SUV a bit of an upgraded feeling to it. If the third row of seats is chosen, the passengers for this seat should be only children as it is small and cramped. Unfortunately when the third row is installed there is very little cargo room left in the rear for any gear. The second row of seats slide, recline and fold down in a 40/20/40 fashion to allow for an expanded cargo area, making the inside of the Sorento very versatile.

On the outside the 2014 model is almost identical to the 2013. With a very stylish front end that sports wrap around headlights, distinctive fog lights, and great lines across the hood and panels that lead all the way to the rear of the vehicle this is really one handsome SUV. Upgrades to the outside include the change in tail lights LED headlights, automatic fold in mirrors, and light up door pockets. To finish off the great looks, the vehicle rides on 19-inche dual star spoked wheels that add a bit of interest with the red brake calipers on all four wheels.

The standard offerings for the Sorento include two rows of seats, cloth seating, Bluetooth and USB connectivity, air conditioning, cruise control, steering wheel mounted controls for cruise and audio, alloy wheels, body-colored side mirrors, LED tail lights, a full complement of electronic infotainment, and a bevy of safety equipment to ensure the safety of occupants in case of a collision.

This model can certainly please many of the SUV shoppers in the market, but to buy a Sorento that is fully loaded the price comes in at a still very reasonable $42,000 making for more of a luxury ride than one that had price and budget in mind from the beginning.
