Chrysler Outfits the Pacifica with New Road Tripper Package
Coming soon to your Chrysler dealership just in time for spring is the new Road Tripper package for the Chrysler Pacifica minivan. The Pacifica is one of only a few remaining minivans available new, but it was Chrysler that helped the minivan craze get started over four decades ago, so it’s only fitting that they reinvent one of the only ones left.
Ultimate Family Travel Vehicle
Chrysler is calling the Chrysler Pacifica Road Tripper the ultimate family travel vehicle. This optional package can be added to the Touring L and Pacifica Touring L Hybrid models, and it will cost between $1,495 and $2,395, depending on the model. Pacifica models equipped with the Road Tripper package feature Luster Gray Road Tripper graphics with a Brilliant Orange outline on the front doors.
The Touring L model features 20-inch wheels with a Luster Gray finish. The Hybrid model has 18-inch wheels and also features the Luster Gray coloring. The center caps display a Chrysler wing badge logo in Brilliant Orange. All around the vehicle is a bevy of accents featuring the semi-gloss Granite Crystal finish. In more practical features, a roof rack and all-weather floor mats come standard.
Road Tripper Availability
This optional package will be available on the gas-powered Pacifical Touring L model and the Pacifica Touring L Hybrid. A choice of three exterior colors is available, including Bright White, Brilliant Black, and Ceramic Gray. The first quarter of 2023 should see open ordering for the Road Tripper minivans, and Chrysler dealerships should see deliveries by spring.
Chrysler chose the name for the new package by consulting social media. By using polls on sites like Instagram and Twitter, the final choice was made to use the Road Tripper name for the exclusive Pacifica package. The Road Tripper Package is available with AWD for gas models as well. Gas models with the Road Tripper Package come exclusively with the Trailer Tow Package that allows the Pacifica to tow up to 3,600 pounds.
Why Families Love the Pacifica
As mentioned previously, there aren’t many minivans available anymore, but some families vastly prefer them over large SUVs. They’re generally more fuel-efficient for one thing, and for another, they have huge cargo areas. The Pacifica gas version can seat up to eight people, and it offers optional AWD.
The Touring L trim, even without the Road Tripper package, offers most of what you’ll want, but a lot more luxury comes with the Limited and Pinnacle trims. The price range for the Pacifica starts under $40,000 for the base trim and goes up to $54,000 for the top trim.
