The Buick Enclave is the largest Buick crossover SUV you can find at a Buick dealer. It has three rows of seats with a third row that will comfortably fit adults, which is a unique find in a mid-size SUV. In spite of its comfortable and upscale cabin and feature-filled interior, the end is in sight for the Enclave. According to Buick, the 2024 model will be the last. Production for the Enclave that we know will end in January 2024, but there appears to be a new generation 2025 Enclave coming. What will this next-gen model bring? That is the big question.
The Final Production Year
If you’ve been thinking about getting a 2024 Enclave, now is the time. The 2024 model rolled off the production line in June, and once the end of January hits, it will stop. There were not a lot of changes to the Enclave for the 2024 model year; it still has the 3.6-liter V-6 gas engine, and Buick offers it in three different trim levels, including the ultra-luxurious Avenir.
A Next-Generation Enclave Is Coming?
There are a lot of questions surrounding the 2025 Buick Enclave. Not only is there little information about it, it’s also not clear when it will hit Buick dealer lots. Some spy shots indicate that the exterior style will be completely redesigned, taking some cues from the Buick Wildcat EV concept.
The all-new Enclave will ride on the latest Global B digital architecture, and it will offer the Super Cruise hands-free driving system.
What is Super Cruise
When the 2025 Buick Enclave arrives, it will have several new safety features and offer the Super Cruise system. This semi-autonomous driving system allows the driver to take their hands off the wheel and their foot off the gas if they are on a designated divided highway and the conditions are right. As long as they keep their eyes on the road and pay attention, the Enclave will take over the driving. It is capable of full-speed adaptive cruise control and will keep the Enclave centered in its lane. In order to activate Super Cruise, a current OnStar service plan is needed and must be fully operational.
More About the 2024 Buick Enclave
Back to the current generation Enclave, since this is the one you can find at a Buick dealer right now. Every trim comes with leather upholstery and heated front seats, providing you with an upscale-feeling cabin no matter what model you choose. The Premium adds ventilated front seats and driver’s seat memory settings. In this trim and the Avenir, the rear seats gain heat, so your passengers can stay comfortable if you’re driving in an area where it gets cold in the winter.
So, the answer to the question is the Buick Enclave being discontinued, is, well, sort of. The 2024 model is the last of the current generation, but it looks like a 2025 model is coming. The next generation will have a new look and new tech, but it’s still not clear if it will have gas or electric power.
